Grant Bennett - President / CEO, Board Member
Mr. Bennett has held the positions of President, Chief Executive Officer, Director and Treasurer of the Company since September, 1992. Prior to that time, he served as Vice President, Sales and Marketing of the Company from November, 1985 to September, 1992. Before joining CPS, Mr. Bennett was a consultant at Bain & Company, a Boston-based management consulting firm. Mr. Bennett has an MS degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.


Michael McCormack - Chief Operating Officer
Mr. McCormack was most recently with AirBoss Defense Group where he was an Executive Vice President responsible for delivering urgently needed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to Federal agencies to combat COVID-19.  AirBoss Defense Group previously merged with Critical Solutions International where Michael was CEO.  Prior to that, Michael was the Executive Vice President for Mission Solutions Group responsible for Strategy and Mergers & Acquisitions.  After Mission Solutions Group purchased Marshall Communications Corporation Michael also served as President of Marshall Communications Corporation.

A native of Massachusetts, earlier in his career he was a program manager at General Dynamics Communications Systems in Taunton, Massachusetts, Senior Business Development Manager at Foster-Miller, Inc. of Waltham Massachusetts, and Executive Vice President, Land Systems Division of QinetiQ North America.   He has also held several senior leadership positions in the Massachusetts Army National Guard.

Michael has a BS degree in Engineering from the US Military Academy at West Point, and master’s degrees from the National Defense University in Washington DC, and the Sawyer School of Management at Suffolk University in Boston.


Chuck Griffith - Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Griffith was most recently the CFO of SPRI Clinical Trials Global, LLC, a company managing clinical trials for the pharmaceutical industry with offices in the USA, Ukraine, Georgia and Russia. Prior to joining SPRI, Mr. Griffith was the Vice President-Finance at Vertex Distribution (previously known as Pawtucket Fasteners and Bell Fasteners), a Rhode Island-based, private-equity owned, $80 million manufacturer and distributor of corrosion resistant fasteners. He was at Vertex for 27 years. Mr. Griffith has an accounting degree from The College of William and Mary, and an MBA from Bryant University.


Mark Occhionero, PhD. - Vice President, Technical Sales

Dr. Occhionero has served as Vice President Marketing and Technical Sales and Senior Research Scientist for the Company since 2004. He joined CPS as a Research Scientist in October, 1985 and became a Senior Research Scientist in 1994, expanding his role to include Marketing and Technical Sales in 2001.

Dr. Occhionero received his PhD. from Case Western University in Material Science.  His primary focus was on uniformity of colloidal processed microstructure and their development during sintering. The basis of CPS' proprietary injection molding uses this process today to produce the AlSiC SiC preforms. This CPS process technology has also been applied to other sintered ceramic and metal power materials systems.

For the past two decades, he concentrated on materials for thermal management and power electronics and, he has authored and presented numerous papers in this field.  Dr. Occhionero is also frequently consulted for his materials expertise for initial product design and on new product development by colleagues in the field and CPS customers.

Cheryl Oliveira - Vice President, Sales

Cheryl Oliveira joined the Company in 2005 where she is responsible for sales of AlSiC components, other metal matrix composites and hermetic packages. In this role, she is responsible for all regional sales representatives and distributors, in addition to being the primary contact for several large U.S. customers.


Before joining CPS, Cheryl was the Vice President of Operations & Sales at Kilburn Isotronics, a manufacturer of microelectronic packages, for over 20 years.


In addition to heading up social activities at the Company, she is also actively involved in several volunteer groups in the community. For several years, she has led the Caring People Sharing Team’s participation in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. Each year, the Company’s team Caring People Sharing supports and honors those fighting cancer.

Charles Da Rosa - Vice President, Operations

Charles DaRosa joined CPS Technologies in August 2010. Charles has 25+ years of manufacturing experience in several different industries and is a Certified Lean Manufacturing Trainer. Prior to joining CPS Technologies, Charles worked for the Massachusetts Manufacturing Extension Partnership as a consultant and Certified Lean Trainer. Over the 5 year period Charles was with MassMEP, clients reported millions of dollars in impact from his many continuous improvement projects completed at these companies. Charles is a Champion member of the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME) and a member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME).

Susan April - Vice President, Administration

Susan April joined the Company in 2000 as Manager of Accounting and Human Resources. Susan was promoted to Vice President of Administration in 2008. In this role, Susan is responsible for corporate accounting, SEC reporting and oversight of the human resources department. In addition, Susan has served as the Corporate Secretary since 2005. Prior to joining CPS Technologies, she was the Assistant Controller for a local food company for 11 years. Ms. April holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from Bryant University in Rhode Island.

Frank Hughes - Chairman of the Board; President American Research & Development Corp.

Mr. Francis J. Hughes, Jr. has served as President of American Research and Development Corporation (‘ARD’), a venture capital firm, since 1992. Mr. Hughes joined ARD’s predecessor organization in 1982, and became Chief Operating Officer in 1990. Mr. Hughes has co-founded and served as a General Partner of the following venture capital funds: ARD I, L.P., ARD II, L.P. (July, 1985), ARD III, L.P. (April, 1988), Hospitality Technology Fund, L.P.(June, 1991) and Egan- Managed Capital, L.P. (February, 1997). Mr. Hughes has served as a Director of the Company since 1993. Mr. Hughes has an MS degree from MIT and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.

Dan Snow, Professor - University of Oxford 

Dr. Daniel C. Snow has served as associate professor at the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University since 2009. From 2004 to 2009, he served on the faculty of the Harvard Business School. His research focuses on technological innovation, specifically furthering the understanding of the complex interplay between old and new technologies. Professor Snow holds an MBA from Brigham Young University’s Marriott School of Management, and a PhD from the University of California, Berkeley. Professor Snow previously worked for Ford Motor Company as a financial analyst.

Tom Culligan - Senior Vice President, Raytheon Corp. (retired)

Mr. Tom Culligan served as a Senior Vice President of Raytheon Corporation from 2001 until his retirement in December 2013. He also served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Raytheon International. Prior to joining Raytheon, Mr. Culligan held senior positions with Honeywell, its predecessor, Allied Signal Corporation, and McDonnell Douglas Corporation. Earlier in his career he served as an officer in the U.S. Air Force and as a legislative director for a U.S. Congressman. Mr. Culligan holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees from Florida State University.

Ralph M. Norwood - Chief Financial Officer, CPS Technologies (retired)

Mr. Norwood was elected a Director of the Company in August 2019.  He served as Chief Financial Officer of the Company from September 2011 to May 2019.  He came to the Company from Navigator Advisors LLC, a financial consulting company, where he had served as President since he founded the firm in 2006. From 2002 until 2005 he served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of SatCon Technology Corporation, a clean energy company headquartered in Boston, MA. Previously, he served for over 20 years at Polaroid Corporation in various capacities including Vice President and Treasurer, Vice President and Controller, and Worldwide Manufacturing Controller. Mr. Norwood is a CPA and has a B.S. from the University of New Hampshire and an M.B.A from the Darden School at the University of Virginia.
